5= REALLY GOOD! Everyone should use this site!
The next web tool I am evaluating is Firefox. Firefox is a web browser, which is fully customizable and enables people to serf the web more efficiently. I think this web browser is very good to use. I personally recommend this tool out of the other web browsers because it is really updated and it is not too confusing to use. Firefox has updated itself a couple times and ahs eliminated a lot of the minor glitches. I believe that Firefox 3.0 is available for everyone to use. Overall, I would rate this tool a full 5 on my book because it is very ease to use.
The first tool I am evaluating is the MOODLE. I found this tool to be very fun to use. It is pretty easy to use and it is a good way to keep track with school work. I use this website for my ED 451 audio/visual class to check on my assignments. This web is very useful for teachers because it eliminates paper work. Instead of having a messy briefcase full of corrected assignments, everything can if into the computer. I think if this site was advertised more, then it can have a bigger community for free flowing ideas and feedback. I would give this site 3 out of 5 due to the small community of the website.
Next on my list is the del.icio.us list. This is a website where people get a bunch of their favorite web sits and “book mark it”. It also allows people to share website ideas with each other. It is fairly easy to use and the community for this site seems to be growing. Personally, I don’t like using this tool because I already have my favorite websites “book marked” into my computer. As for the sharing website ideas, I think that it is useless because I noticed that when I’m looking for a certain website on Google search, the same list of web sit appear when I search on del.icio.us list. Anyway, I would give this site 2 out of 5 because I feel that it is redundant.
The fourth web tool that I am evaluating is Google Suites. I personally do not use this site normally because I think that this site is used for business type people. It is possible to use this tool for school work purposes but I think that face-to-face interaction is better then doing group work on-line. It is good at giving update information but there are other sites out there which do the same thing. I feel that the only good thing about this site is that it helps keep people informed about their G-mail and only G-mail. If there was a site that can inform me on all my emails, website views and friend request on “MySpace” or “Friendster” then I would really want to sign up for that. Generally I would give this site a 3 out of 5 because I don’t really have a use for it.
The next tool I am evaluating is “Blogger”. I found this tool to be very fun to use. It is pretty easy to use and it is a good way to share ideas with the world. I use this website to post public blogs about what I think. The only down side to it is that I don’t think any people use this site and when people view my site, they don’t bother to comment on it. I think if this site was advertised more, then it can have a bigger community for free flowing ideas and feedback. I would give this site a 3 out of 5 due to the small community of the website and also because this type of web tool has better competitors to choose form.
One good competitor for the blogger is “MySpace”. “MySpace” is a great site to use if you want to post up your ideas and get feedback really fast from people you would already know. It has a huge community of people all over the world. People use this site to make new friends. I use it to promote my music. This website can help a lot if you are a musician because it is a great way to gather fans. There are people who got famous because of “MySpace”. The only problem for this site is that sometimes it is hard separate people with false identities. I believe that this is a problem for all websites similar to this site. In conclusion, I would give this site a 5 out of 5 because of the many uses it has available.
The last site that I am evaluating is YouTube. This is my favorite website of all. This site has it all. If you want information on certain things, this website has the video on it. My favorite aspect of this site is that it is one of the sites that government is having a hard time trying to regulate leaked information. I learn so many things on this site. There are educational videos such as National Geographic. If you want to be up-to-date with National Geographic, you can simply subscribe to the site and it will up date you on the latest videos. I recently learned how to do a back flip form YouTube. You can also promote your music too! I can name three people who have gotten record deals because of this site. I hope one day this can happen to me. Overall, I would give this site a six out of five because I could spend the whole day on this site and still have new videos to view.
